hi florian,
thanks for the fast reply. i was already using sdk 3.3, but you pointed in the right direction. i forgot to update the fcsh executable path in the preferences and i was using an old version of fcsh. so now it's running.
thanks again!
cheers, björn

Hi Björn,

it seems that your fcsh installation within the Flex2 SDK is broken:
"java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: flex2/tools/Tool"
Please update your installation to a current stable sdk (3.3) and make sure to update the ifac preferences.

Regards,
Florian

Hi Erik,
can you reproduce this issue using standalone eclipse - (without FDT). The standalone has been release later, so it could be incompatible to ifac's current release :(
Cheers

First of all: great work on iFac. It rocks!
Only it doesnt seem to work here. iFac seems to break time after time. I already did a reinstall and it worked again. But I just restarted FDT (standalone version 3.2, MAC) and iFac is broken again. Check out my screenshot:

Hi,
I have the similar problems in my environment the error was caused by missing file "msvcr71.dll", which is required by fcsh.exe. This is very stupid error by Adobe, because they may put this file into the bin folder of the sdk and the problem will be solved. You may check if this is the reason of the problem by trying to run fcsh.exe from the command line. If you will fail (windows will show you the alert about missing msvcr71.dll then download it from the www (use google) and put into windows/system32.

Dear Florian,

I have been successfully using Ifac with FDT in Eclipse on Windows at an office, which had been set up for me. Now, working from home, I am finding it difficult to set up on my Mac ... I get an error :

[ifac] No compiler argument set. Use args="" to set it!

however the build file has the following :

iFac will run now - be sure that the iFac Server is runing!
PARAMS

Is the problem with the build.xml or with the Build.properties ? I am using the samples from the Ifac site (mac) with changes to the

skd.bin = /Users/johnholland/Desktop/flex_sdk_3/bin     ...etc
skd.lib = /Users/johnholland/Desktop/flex_sdk_3/bin

and player paths  :

Player.app = /Users/johnholland/Desktop/flex_sdk_3/runtimes/player/mac/Flash Player.app

I very much appreciate any time you give to a response

thanks in advance

Hello Fabian,

thanks for your bug report. Saban already noticed me about that. It will definitively be fixed in the next version. I'll notice you if it's done.

Regards,
Florian

Hello Florian and Saban,

are the any update planes for a bugfix or is there a workaround for the bug, that some signs like { are blocked due to the shortcut setting of iFac on windows system. You remember Saban we noticed that bug during the ffk08 workshop.
And btw, thanks a lot for this great plugin.

Take care and best regards,
Fabian

Sorry, I have to post my comment twice, because the system is filtering out tags. So the correct sentence was: we have a project with many flex modules and an app. How will this be defined in the build.properties?

Regards,

Jürgen
